1. TERMS: Prices are quoted on a weekly basis, but other bookings may be arranged by negotiation. The usual time of take-over is 4 p.m. on the holiday start date, subject to unavoidable delays, and the property must be vacated by 10 a.m. on the day of departure.
2. DEPOSIT: Unless otherwise arranged, a deposit of one third of the hire money is required on booking. When this is received, written confirmation of the booking will be posted to you with a note of the balance due.
3. The BALANCE of the hire money as shown on the letter of confirmation is due and payable by you 6 weeks before the start of the hire. When it is received you will be sent, by return, a receipt along with Arrival / House Details.
4. FAILURE TO PAY: The lessor may treat the booking as cancelled by the hirer 4 weeks before the start of the hire.
5. CANCELLATIONS must be notified to Steading Holidays immediately by telephone, fax or e-mail, and subsequent written confirmation sent. If the holiday is uninsured, regretfully Steading Holidays can only give a refund if the property is re-let, minus an administration charge.
6. PETS must be kept under strict control at all times; not be allowed either upstairs or on soft furnishings and must not be left unattended in a property. All dogs faeces must be removed from the garden and immediate surrounding areas. A penalty of up to £50 may be levied if these guide lines are not adhered to.
7. LIABILITY: The hirer binds and obliges himself to pay the lessor in respect of any loss or damage to any item beyond fair wear and tear.
8. OCCUPANCY: Except through prior negotiation the number of people occupying the hired premises must not exceed the number stated in the Steading Holidays brochure and on www.steading.co.uk
9. VACATING: The hirer agrees to leave the property immediately from the termination of the period of hire.
10. ACCESS: The hirer shall allow the lessor or his employees and agents entry to the property for all reasonable purposes.
11. AVAILABILITY: If the property should be made unavailable due to circumstances beyond the control of Steading Holidays the rental paid will be returned in full, and you will have no claim against Steading Holidays.
12. FUTURE BOOKINGS: Any let in any Steading Holidays property at any time does not guarantee any future booking.
13. ACCURACY: Steading Holidays take great care that the information they provide is accurate. However, they cannot be held responsible for any in accuracies, or for their judgement of the qualities of the properties or of the amenities in the area.
14. CONTRACT OF HIRE: The Contract of Hire is between you and Steading Holidays as Agents for the Owner of the property for which the booking is made. The name and address of the owner will be furnished on request.
15. On DEPARTURE the hirer shall ensure that the property is left in a clean and tidy condition.
