House Description

Set in a magnificent position, Borve House overlooks Sanna Bay and has spectacular views to the Small Isles and Skye. All on the ground floor: entrance lobby and cloakroom leading to the hall, large kitchen, utility room, separate toilet and washbasin, living room with dining area, open fire and patio doors opening onto a spacious balcony with table and garden chairs. Two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom and bathroom complete with shower. Total control heating and hot water.

To find Borve House: drive into Kilchoan and at the T-junction in the middle of the village turn right and follow the road to the Lighthouse. Drive past the Sonachan Hotel to Achosnich continue along to Portuairk, take the first turning to the left just after the cattle grid and opposite a small Car Park You will see the name of Borve House at the gate.

The door to the utility room will be unlocked and the key will be on the kitchen table.

The normal day of arrival is a Saturday and the property is available from 4.00pm on the holiday start date until 10.00am on the finish date.

Enough kindling, wood and coal will be left to take you over the weekend. Coal can be bought from the Ferry Stores, in the village. 20 Kilo.  Peat Briquettes may be available also.

Please read the meter on arrival and departure, and leave a cheque or cash in payment made out to Donald Cameron the house owner. The cost per unit will be clearly displayed in your house. The hot water, heating [if necessary] and refrigerator will be on for your arrival.

Linen Service can be provided @£7.00 per person. If you wish to order, please fill in the enclosed linen form at least two weeks in advance and send it,along with payment, to Mr. D. G. Cameron, 54 Kennedy Road, FORT WILLIAM PH33 6HJ. The linen will include your bedding requirements, towels, tea towels and bathmat; there is no bedding supplied with the cot.

 

If you are bringing a dog, please take extra care, as one or two owners have experienced damage from dogs.

You are respectfully reminded that any damages must be reported and paid for and properties must be left in a clean and tidy condition prior to departure.
