House Description
Facing south, this traditional, cosy and comfortable croft house, set in a pleasant walled garden, has been tastefully upgraded by its owners.
Ground floor: entrance porch, toilet and washbasin, kitchen and dining area, sitting room with open fire. Upstairs: double bedroom, bedroom with three single beds, small bathroom and toilet.
 
 
To find Benmore: as you come into the village of Kilchoan there is a Hotel on your left, and then a Church on your right. 300 metres further on take the turning to your right at the sign for Steading Holidays. Go past the office to your left and bear right up the drive to Benmore - it is a white house with a wooden front door. Go across a small bridge and drive through the gate into the enclosed area around the house (please close the gate after you). To take your car into the walled garden, turn sharp right after you go through the black wrought-iron gate. To exit, back up towards the house and drive out forwards (otherwise it can be difficult to manoeuvre).
The door will be unlocked and the key will be inside on the kitchen table.
The normal day of arrival is a Sunday and the property is available from 4.00pm on the holiday start date until 10.00am on the finish date.
Enough kindling and coal will be left to take you over the weekend. There is additional coal left at the side of the house @£4 per 25kg bag. Please read the meters on arrival and departure: the costs per unit will be clearly displayed in the house. There is cheap off peak heating and hot water .The hot water, heating (if necessary) and refrigerator will be on for your arrival. Leave a cheque or cash in payment for the electricity and coal to Mrs. S. Campbell (the house owner).
Full Linen Service can be provided @£7.00 per person. If you wish to order, please fill in the enclosed linen form at least two weeks in advance and send it to; Mrs. Linda MacKenzie, "Rhu Bhan", Kilchoan, Ardnamurchan, ARGYLL PH36 4LH along with payment.
The linen will include duvet covers, sheets, pillowcases, towels, tea towels and bathmat.
There is no bedding supplied with the cot.
You are respectfully reminded that any damages must be reported and paid for and properties must be left in a clean and tidy condition prior to departure. If you are bringing a dog, please take extra care, as one or two owners have experienced damage from dogs.
We do not normally call on you during your stay as we have discovered from past experience that timing for this can tend to be difficult, but if you have any problems do please call your House Manager Mrs Linda MacKenzie, on 01972 510 263 or call in at the Steading Holidays office.
