Along the North Coast there are charming beaches at Achateny and Kilmory; lengthy coastal walks to both East and West, with many viewpoints. Kilmory (Cille-Mhoire) in Gaelic means the cell or church of Mary. A hint of its history can be found in the ancient graveyard, among the standing stones.
